One solution MS Teams introduced was Large Gallery View. Large Gallery View enables you to view up to 49 people at once in square blocks. Large Gallery View requires a minimum of 10 attendees sharing their video to be activated. Large Gallery View can be accessed with the following instructions:
- While in an MS Teams meeting, click on the ellipsis (three dots) located on the top right-hand side of your screen for desktop users. If on mobile, the ellipsis can be found centred at the bottom of your screen.
- Then, select ‘Large gallery’ which is the 5th option on the drop-down menu for Desktop users. For mobile, you will be required to select ‘Change layout’ which is the last option on the drop-down menu. Finally, you will select ‘Gallery’ which is the 1st option on the drop-down menu mobile users.
The Second solution MS Teams introduced was Together Mode. Together Mode allows you to view 49 people at once but, displays the people uniquely. Together Mode creates an avatar of each meeting attendee’s face and places them all in a virtual background. These face avatars can all be simultaneously viewed and placed in a variety of unique backgrounds such as a theatre, rainforest, and many more. Together Mode requires a minimum of 4 attendees sharing their video to be activated and, can be accessed with the following instructions:
- While in an MS Teams meeting, click on the ellipsis (three dots) located on the top right-hand side of your screen for desktop users. If on mobile, the ellipsis can be found centred at the bottom of your screen.
- Then, select ‘Together mode’ which is the 6th option on the drop-down menu for desktop users. For mobile, you will be required to select ‘Change layout’ which is the last option on the drop-down menu. Finally, you will select ‘Together mode’ which is the 2nd option on the drop-down menu for mobile users.
